Ghanaian musician Kelvyn Boy has spoken about his strained relationship with Stonebwoy, revealing that the two have not been on speaking terms since their public fallout and subsequent “banter.”
In an interview on Joy Prime TV with George Quaye on April 29, 2026, Kelvyn Boy said he has made up to five attempts over the years to reconcile, but noted that Stonebwoy has shown no interest in resolving their differences.
Despite the ongoing rift, he expressed admiration for his former mentor’s work, saying, “I love every song of Stonebwoy,” and making clear that he still respects his music.
Stonebwoy has previously attributed the fallout to issues of misconduct and disrespect, at one point suggesting that the situation escalated to dangerous levels. Kelvyn Boy, however, said the incident is now so far in the past that he can barely recall the exact cause of their disagreement.
The dispute dates back to January 2019, when Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group declined to renew Kelvyn Boy’s contract, effectively ending their professional relationship.
The separation later became more bitter, with Stonebwoy alleging that Kelvyn Boy and others attempted to “eliminate” him, an accusation Kelvyn Boy has strongly denied. He has described the claims as paranoia and alleged “mafia tactics” aimed at damaging his career.
