Takoradi, March 31, GNA — A 74-year-old fisherman, Kwasi Kuma, was on Thursday remanded in custody by a Takoradi Circuit court for having unnatural carnal knowledge with a 13-year-old boy at New Takoradi.
He pleaded not guilty and is to re-appear in court on April 29.
Sergeant Seth Ahelegbe told the court presided over by Mr Charles Bamford Nimako that both the victim and the accused resided in the same vicinity in New Takoradi.
He said about two months ago the grandmother of the victim had information that Kuma have been having anal sex with the victim in his room.
She confronted the accused but he denied the offence.
The prosecution said on March 10 one Thomas Koomson, who lives in the same vicinity with the victim, informed the victim's grandmother that he saw the victim entering the room of Kuma.
When they went there they saw the accused in the act with the victim.
