Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, Kennedy Boakye Ansah has admitted that administrative lapses led to the leakage of the solidarity letter to Kazakhstani club Shakhter Karagandy.

The Ghana Premier League giants on a letter dated April 20, 2020, wrote to Karagandy demanding solidarity contribution of defender Gideon Baah.

A portion of the letter reads, "I write to demand our share of the solidarity contribution on our former player Gideon as FIFA establishes in its status and transfer of players, Article 21."

The letter was not meant for public consumption leading to heavy criticisms of the club by fans and football lovers.

"We are disappointed the letter leaked in the media," the PRO told Sikka Sports.

"There was an administration lapse with the letter to Shakhter Karagandy," he added.

Meanwhile, Mr Boakye Ansah also revealed the Porcupine Warriors are still enjoying solidarity monies of ex-players Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Baba Rahman.

"Asante Kotoko are still enjoying solidarity fee on Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Baba Rahman," he said.
