There's is a change in guard at the summit of the standings after Bechem Chelsea moved to the top following their 1-0 victory over Kessben in the late kick off game of the Glo Premier League on Sunday.

A second half strike by Emmanuel Banahene condemned Bashir Hayford's side to defeat in the top of the table clash at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.

But Chelsea were kept in the game by excellent goalkeeping by Ernest Sowah though the front men of Kessben were also wasteful.

Asante Kotoko's disappointing run in recent times took a turn for the worse as they crashed to their third consecutive defeat in the league.

With soon-to-be appointed Serbian coach Bogdan Korak watching from the stands, the Porcupine Warriors could still not give their new man a perfect welcome tonic as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of champions, Aduana Stars on Sunday in Dormaa.

Goals from Bernard Don Bortey condemned Kotoko to defeat, following losses to King Faisal and Hearts of Oak.

Hearts of Oak were downed 1-0 at the Ohene Djan Stadium by struggling side, Liberty Professionals in the Accra derby.

The Phobians, riding on the crest-wave of their victory over Kotoko last weekend were made to pay for their complacency as Guinean import Capi Souma struck on 83 minutes after Uriah Asante had his spot kick turned round the post by Liberty goalkeeper Patrick Antwi in the second half.

A second half goal by Latif Mohammed helped ten-man AshantiGold to a 1-0 victory against Real Tamale United at the Tamale Stadium.

Striker Daniel Larbi Koomson scored in the 16th minute to hand B.A Stars a 1-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs in the Sunyani Coronation Park

King Faisal managed a 2-1 victory against new boys Mighty Jets 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Abdul Wahab hit a brace for Faisal with Stephen Adams pulling one back for the visitors.

A ten-man All Stars side playing their 100th premier league game shared the spoils in a goalless drawn game with New Edubiase at the Gyemfis Park in Bekwai.

And at the Golden City Park, Berekum Arsenals and Heart of Lions also drew goalless.
