Deputy Director of New Media at the Office of the President, Mr. Samuel Bryan Buabeng has taken a swipe at ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, following Ghana’s defeat against Portugal.

He said the Black Stars were robbed by the referee in the game.

According to the vocal presidential staffer, Anas caused the challenges Ghana is facing because he and his "Yakuza" Tiger Eye P. I took away Mr. Kwasi Nyantakyi, former Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss who was also a FIFA council member in a video documentary.

“We were robbed in broad daylight because we no longer have any strong rep at FIFA all because Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his yakuza team wanted to get rid of Kwesi Nyantakyi at all cost,” he said in a tweet on Thursday, November 24, adding that “WE ALL GO SUFFER.”

The former football administrator was given a lifetime ban from football-related activities after his alleged involvement in bribery in an exposé, dubbed "Number 12" by Anas and his Tiger Eye P.I in 2018.

This blame comes after the Black Stars of Ghana conceded their first goal in their first Group H game against the Portuguese on a spot kick by 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, a penalty many complain was a cheat to the African side.

Meanwhile, the captain of the Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew, got Ghana’s equaliser in the 73rd minute, a goal that sought to end Africa’s goalless record in this year’s tournament.

Unfortunately for the Black Stars, Jao Felix put Portugal in the lead with a goal he registered five minutes after Ghana’s equalizer, in the 78th minute, followed swiftly by a third goal from 23-year-old Rafael Leao in a very contentious attack.

The African giant came back strongly with a goal from Bukari Osman, age 23, who became the last net shaker (goal scorer) of the game.

Ghana will conclude its Group H campaign after South Korea's match with Uruguay on Friday, December 2 at 3pm in the Al Janoub Stadium (Al Wakrah).
