Ashgold In Talks To Secure Sponsorship Package With Airline Worth $3 Million

Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC is in talks to secure a sponsorship package with an International Airline worth $3 million, Modernghana Sports can report.

According to Kwabena Amponsah who is the Africa representative of iGimel, the Ghana Premier League side should have already wrapped up the deal if not for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.

“If not for COVID-19, we should have concluded the deal with the Airline Company at $3m. They want to be title sponsors and am meeting them today to further the negotiations”, he said in an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

Kwabena Amponsah added, “Our previous discussions was that they sponsor us for ticketing during our Africa campaign but they preferred to be title sponsors.

“I am very optimistic we can reach an agreement so that the deal starts from next season”.

Kwabena Amponsah is the same person who brokered the kit sponsorship deal between Ashanti Gold SC and UK-based sports manufacturers iGimel.
