Jekora Ventures, one of Ghana’s leading waste management company has bagged a Silver Award at the recently held 12th Ghana Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards night in Accra.

The agency was selected as the best company in the waste management category following its outstanding performance over the years.

The annual 2019 Ghana Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards organised by Top Brass Ghana with the aim of rewarding Industrious organisations in Ghana was under the theme "Promoting Ghana's economic development."

Receiving the prize, Administration Manager, Felix Laryea said: "This award gives us a spirit of healthy competition and we will henceforth work harder to retain it in the coming years".

He also dedicated the awards to the junior staff adding that their teamwork contributed to the success.

In 2003, Jekora Ventures was established in Ghana. The waste management company took upon itself to ensure that the country is without filth and has been playing its role for the past 16 years.

Jekora Ventures since its inception has also won the trust of many Ghanaians through its hardwork.

Mr. Laryea said, "Our ultimate aim as a company is to deal with waste management to help make Ghana rub shoulders with other developed countries in the area of Sanitation".

Jekora Ventures over the years believe it will become the leading waste management organisation in Ghana and Africa with the mindset of educating people on how to improve the environment and leave without filth.

The Administration Manager mentioned that the organisation's proficient refuse collection crew are made up of Operations Supervisors, Licensed Drivers and two sanitary labourers on board each truck have been equipped with the needed logistics to work effectively and efficiently.

The company however hinted that as part of making Accra and its surroundings clean, it has partnered with the Mayor of Accra, Mr. Adjei Sowah on an initiative to segregate waste in basic schools.
