Hello fellow patriots in the diaspora, my name is Richard Ahiagbah, an aspirant for the position of National General Secretary of the NPP.

I am running for the General Secretary position of the NPP because the direction of our party is at variance with our growing desire to win successively beyond two terms.

Our party today from mal-administration, alienation of the grassroots and external party participation as well as access to leadership and opportunities. The foregoing has dumped enthusiasm and morale of the party grassroots. This sad happening in the party has real implications for our electoral prospects and dreams, and the earlier we work to refocus on our core objectives as a party the better.

To bring the party administration into alignment with our core objectives, change is inevitable.

The change we need begins with the elections of a new General Secretary who has a vision to grow the party from the grassroots up and to integrate the external branches into the mainstream administration of the party.

We have been in power before, and we know how the party faired back then.

Change will allow us to reconnect with what worked, change will ultimately afford us the opportunity to open up our party to serve all equally without reference to whether one is a member in Ghana or external branch member. By this, we will be able to position our party for greater success in the 21st century and to achieve the goal of winning successively.

Change will ensure that we become a party that builds on, and sustains its fortunes by being inclusive and grassroots driven.

I have been in Ghana for almost a year, actively campaigning for change to bring about renewal and hope in our party. Now, I humbly asks for your support and participation where necessary to help bring about change in June, when we go to congress.
