During the Kuffour Regime, we witnessed a case of the President vrs Tsatsu and many thought it was a blunder but then it was a revelation of how personal the then President had taken the matter.

Today, we have been visited with a similar personalisation of what we are made to believe is a legal pursuit but it has all the semblance of the tactics deployed during the dark days of the AFRC and other military regime.

Just when we thought those police style tactics had left our body politics for good, the entire government machinery of President Akuffo Addo led by a deputy attorney General, Godfred Dame is being used to fight a citizen with inalienable rights.

Today, Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome, a Ghanaian citizen is being made to fight for his rights and survival as he is continuously being harrassed with communist tactics. For the 2nd time in a few weeks, armed military men and women have raided the residence of Mr Woyome in the company of officers from the Land Commission with a supposed Supreme Court warrant eventhough the courts are on legal vacation.

What could be the basis for this cowardly attempt to use foul means to harrass a citizen of this noble country? This cannot be allowed to go on and let us all be bold to tell the government that we do not want to relive the days of fear and anarchy. Ghana is not for the NPP or Godfred Dame and so they should not disturb the peaceful atmosphere we are enjoying with their needless political witch hunt.

If the NPP really want to fulfill their campaign pledges, they should rather focus on the ailing economy, the DKM customers, the high petrol and utility prices, the astronomical unemployment rate and the rising commodity prices. These are what the Ghanaian expect of its government and not an ill conceived vendetta against a Ghanaian citizen.

God bless our homeland Ghana.
