The Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon won the maiden Greater Accra regional French Ambassadors Championship which was held at the University of Professional Studies Accra main auditorium on Saturday April 8,2017.
The schools who qualified for the championship were PRESEC Legon, St Thomas Aquinas School, Labone Senior High School, West Africa Senior High School,Accra Wesley Girls High School and the St Francis Xavier School all in the greater Accra region.
After series of rounds, PRESEC Legon, St Francis Xavier School and St Thomas Aquinas qualified for the finals.
The ultimate prize went to the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School with 34 points.With St Francis Xavier Senior High School and St Thomas Aquinas School taking the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
According to the coordinator Mr Kenneth Gyamerah, this championship which aims to promote the integration of the French language in Ghanaian schools would be held in all the 10 regions in Ghana and so far 110 Senior High Schools have registered.
