Kufuor urges Singapore to train Ghanaian personnel

Accra, June 24, GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor on Thursday appealed to Singapore to assist Ghana in human resource development in the ports and harbours sector.
He said Ghanaians had a lot to learn from the Singaporean experience in the administration of the sector.
President Kufuor made the appeal when Mr Giam Chin Toon, Singaporean High Commissioner in Ghana resident in Singapore presented his Letters of Credence to him at the Castle, Osu.
He said the distance between the two countries should not be a barrier for an effective and efficient bilateral relationship between them for their mutual benefit.
Mr Toon pledged to ensure that the relationship between the two countries was improved. 24 June 04
