BANK OF AFRICA ELITE TEAM MEET PARTNERS

The Elite banking unit of BANK OF AFRICA GHANA has made courtesy calls to their member banks in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to familiarize themselves with innovative trends in the business of private banking.

The team led by Mr. John Bour the Head of SME Banking and Mrs. Sharon Bansa the Head of Elite Banking also used the opportunity to support the Ghana Black Stars.

Mrs. Bansa said that “BANK OF AFRICA Elite Banking is positioning itself to offer the best private banking services in the Ghanaian banking industry” and hence the trip.

She was excited to be with the larger BANK OF AFRICA family and also to support the nation's pride and joy – the Ghana Black Stars.

The black stars team who were excited to encounter their fellow citizens on foreign soil, commended the Elite Banking's team for their support both physically and financially as individuals, and as a team and on behalf of the Ghana Football Association.

The team also visited the BOA Kenya branches to experience the top notch services that Elite customers receive at home and abroad. The Managing Director of BOA Kenya, Kwame Ahiadzi received the team warmly and shared the successes that their bank has chalked in the last year.

The team thereafter continued to Tanzania where the Managing Director , Amishadai Owusu-Amoah , referred them to some Ghanaians in the community who wanted to benefit from some banking products and services that the Bank had to offer, as the Elite Center in Tanzania was yet to be rolled out.

In Uganda, the MD Edigold Menday and the staff of the Elite center welcomed the Ghana team, brainstormed and traded ideas on how to project the BANK OF AFRICA brand further and heighten customer loyalty. The trip was crowned with fraternizing with the Ghanaian community in these East African countries to market the unique selling proposition of Elite banking and to foster solidarity.

Bank of Africa Ghana Limited commenced operations in Ghana in 2011 after the Bank of Africa Group (BOA Group) acquired majority interest in Amalbank on the 2nd of February.

The BOA Group has operations in France and presence in 14 African countries namely Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda. The Elite Banking Centre was launched and has been open to the Ghanaian public since the 24th of August 2012 and already seems to be making waves in the private banking industry in Ghana.
