German Foreign Minister Westerwelle welcomes Bundestag decision on the work of the political foundations in Egypt

BERLIN, Germany, February 10, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle issued the following statement on today's decision by the Bundestag concerning the work of the political foundations in Egypt:

“I welcome the fact that the German Bundestag has sent such a strong message of solidarity and support for the work of our political foundations. They are a fixture of our transformation partnership with the countries of North Africa. As I already did in my talks in Cairo, we will continue to make every effort to ensure that all obstacles to the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's valuable work in Egypt are removed as soon as possible.”
