A 36-year-old man, Kwabena Anokye, has been killed in a violent confrontation over a woman at Offinso in the Ashanti Region.
The incident involved Anokye and one Akwasi Anyam, who is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
Sources say the confrontation was triggered by a love triangle involving a woman identified as Adwubi. Anokye was reported to have had a child with her before their relationship ended, after which she became involved with Anyam.
It is alleged that Anokye confronted Anyam over the matter, leading to a heated exchange that escalated into a physical fight.
During the altercation, the two men reportedly attacked each other with machetes, resulting in fatal injuries to Anokye. Anyam also sustained wounds in the process.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue pending autopsy.
Meanwhile, arrangements are underway for Anokye’s one-week observation, with posters already circulated ahead of the ceremony in Offinso.
Police have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
