The Ghana Police Service recently held a passing-out parade for 238 new recruits at the Regional Police Training School in Ho.
The ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the Honorable Regional Minister, Police Management Board members, and the Regional Police Commander.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, who congratulated the new recruits on their achievements.
The Review Officer, COP/Mr. Daniel Kwame Afriyie, delivered an address to the recruits, emphasizing the importance of their role in maintaining peace and security in the country.
COP Afriyie congratulated the recruits on completing their training and urged them to exhibit high levels of competence, integrity, and respect for citizens' human rights. He reminded them that their badge is not a license to intimidate, but a pledge to serve with humility, courage, and honor.
The Review Officer emphasized the importance of teamwork in maintaining peace and security in the country. He urged the new recruits to uphold the values of the Ghana Police Service and work collaboratively with other stakeholders to build a safer Ghana.
COP Afriyie emphasized that security is a shared responsibility and urged citizens to support the Police Service, demand accountability, show respect, and cooperate with the Police to achieve their goals. He expressed gratitude to various organizations and individuals who supported the training of the recruits.
The Review Officer thanked the Volta Regional Police Command, the Officer Commanding Regional Police Training School, and other stakeholders for their support and guidance.
The new recruits took their oath, pledging to serve with integrity and fidelity. The ceremony marked the beginning of their noble journey as personnel of the Ghana Police Service.
