Accra Game Store opens today

Game store, Africa's largest discount retailer of general merchandise is opening its Accra store situated in the modern Accra Shopping Mallalong the Spintex road, Tetteh Quarshie Circle today with over US$2.7 worth of merchandise, consisting of 15,000 line items.

The General Manager of Game Stores, Africa, Mr. Richard Fuller told journalists yesterday that the Accra store, which is the 81st to be opened as part of the South African based Massmart Holdings retail group would offer Ghanaian consumers a taste of a unique Game shopping experience and a trio of unique guarantees.

According to him, the company has 120 employees of which 116 are Ghanaian and would over the next ten years make a direct investment of US$87 million in the Ghanaian economy in areas of employment, taxes, local community and customers.

Mr. Fuller stated, “the opening of our Accra store is the first step towards achieving what we hope will be a sustainable and win-win partnership with the people of Ghana”, adding, “in a nutshell, if you find the product cheaper somewhere else, we'll beat the price; if you change your mind about a purchase, we'll exchange it; and if any equipment you have bought at the store is not working, we'll repair or exchange.”
