First Allied Savings To Open Accra Branch

The First Allied Savings and Loans Company Limited, a savings and loans company, has opened its first branch in Adabraka, Accra.

Established about 10 years ago, with headquarters in Kumasi, the company has provided various service solutions, including travel credit, salary credit, consumer credit, Golden Susu, Allied Mpontu Scheme/Micro Finance and Premium Golden Susu.

Others services are outreach/cash collection services, Western Union Money Transfer, clearance loan, savings and current accounts, commercial loan, funeral loan and SMS/mobile banking.

The company has a number of awards to its credit, such as being a three-time Gold Award winner of the Ashanti Financial Services Excellence Awards, 2004, 2005 and 2006, the Most Innovative Product/Service award from the African Project Development Facility (APDF) of the World Bank and the Most Outstanding Savings and Loans Company at the Ashanti Trade and Technology awards, 2000 and 2001.

The company, which is a member of the Ghana Club 100, will officially inaugurate the new building on the Brewery Road, near St Joseph's CYO Sports Stadium, on Thursday, April 26, 2007.
