Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, the leader of the newly formed New Force political movement, has clarified comments he made in a recent interview that were misrepresented by some Ghanaian media outlets.

In an interview aired on TV3 last week, Nana Kwame Bediako outlined his vision to create one million millionaires in Ghana through entrepreneurship and wealth creation.

However, headlines from some media outlets, according to him, misleadingly suggested he said he would "buy Ghana if Ghanaians reject him” in the 2024 polls.

In a video released on Monday, April 15, the presidential candidate stressed that his actual comments referred to using the wealth generated from one million millionaires to "buy back the country that we have lost, the country which has over the past decades been 'sold' to foreign entities."

He added, "It is the ultimate goal of The New Force movement to restore the economy of Ghana and to redeem the nation of Ghana and by extension all of Africa...It's a singular vision. It's a singular objective. And I continue to put my life on the line to ensure this."

He called on Ghanaian media to be more responsible and protect the nation by accurately reporting facts.
