Ahmed Toure has been handed an indefinite suspension by the management of Asante Kotoko after the Ivorian striker went AWOL.

Toure, who surfaced last week is not expected to feature for the Porcupine Warriors with eight games to go in their title defence.

The striker who missed out of the team's trip to Banjul where they were eliminated from the CAF/MTN Champions League is reported to have penned a deal with Tunisian side, CS Sfaxien.

He has however denied ever travelling to Tunis to sign a contract for last year's Champions League losing finalist.

According to Kotoko officials, Toure reported sick on the eve of their trip to Gambia where the club were eliminated from the CAF/MTN Champions League competition.

Kotoko had considered reporting Sfaxien to FIFA for tapping their player but after a management meeting, the Ivorian striker was hit with an indefinite suspension.

Toure, who hasn't featured in the club's last two premiership games which the Porcupine Warriors won convincingly, might end the season watching from the sidelines.
