Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has praised fellow musician Kwesi Arthur for his honesty and ability to connect with listeners through his music.
According to him, the rapper possesses a unique gift that allows him to express himself in a manner that resonates with many people while maintaining a high level of artistry.
M.anifest made the remarks during an appearance on TV3's Afternoon Show on Tuesday, June 23, while discussing their newly released collaboration, 'No More Sleep.'
"Kwesi has this special ability to, to be honest in a way that I think is very relatable, but still doing it very skillfully. You understand, there's no compromising that he's really good," he said.
The award-winning rapper noted that the collaboration comes at a different stage in both their careers, describing it as a more mature partnership compared to their previous work together.
He said Kwesi Arthur was much younger when they first worked together, adding that both artistes have grown personally and professionally over the years.
M.anifest also expressed excitement over the early reception of the song, particularly on social media platforms where many users have been sharing videos of themselves reciting Kwesi Arthur's verse.
According to him, the rapper is enjoying a new phase in his career, which makes the timing of the collaboration ideal.
"I'm really glad to see that he's having, he's had a new re-emergence, you know, or a new era that he's doing. We know with his redemption value stuff, etcetera. So it was perfect time," he stated.
M.anifest further disclosed that he has maintained contact with Kwesi Arthur over the years and recalled meeting him during one of his performances in New York.
He expressed confidence that 'No More Sleep' would achieve greater success than their previous collaboration because of the positive energy surrounding the project.
The rapper added that the song offers listeners a different experience, describing it as music that relaxes the mind while still maintaining its appeal.
No More Sleep was released a few days ago and has already begun gaining traction on digital streaming platforms and social media.
