Ghanaian musician Fameye has shared a frightening experience he endured during a recent flight from Tamale to Accra, describing severe turbulence that left him fearing for his life.
Speaking on 3Music TV’s “Praise” segment, the singer said he has experienced turbulence before, but noted that this particular incident was by far the most intense.
He recounted that passengers were informed mid-flight that the aircraft was low on fuel and would have to divert to Kumasi for a stopover.
Fameye said he initially felt reassured by the announcement, since Kumasi was part of his intended destination. However, his anxiety escalated when the pilot later indicated that the situation involved critically low fuel levels.
The artiste, who has previously spoken about his fear of flying, said the experience deepened his phobia, describing it as a close call that left a lasting emotional impact.
