Musician, Patapaa, is mourning the sad demise of his mother, Madam Ekua Boatema.
Photos from her one-week observation ceremony, held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Assisim near Duke's Filling Station in Agona Swedru, captured the musician in a sombre mood as he struggled to contain his grief.
The “One Corner” hitmaker shed uncontrollable tears while family members and close associates gathered around him to offer comfort and support during the emotional event.
The solemn ceremony attracted a large crowd of mourners, including family, friends, and community members, who came to pay their respects and honour the memory of Madam Boatema, affectionately known as “Boat.”
Her passing has dealt a heavy emotional blow to the musician, who shared a close bond with his mother. Many attendees expressed their condolences to Patapaa and his family, urging them to remain strong during this difficult period.
The family is expected to announce funeral arrangements for Madam Ekua Boatema in due course.
