GHANAIAN MUSIC OF ORIGIN- ARTISTES
Osibisa exploded onto the music world in 1971 with a pulsating and vibrant sound that was to engulf the entire post 60's rock scene. Translated from Ghanaian language OSIBISA means "criss-cross rhythms that explode with happiness". The group was formed in London in 1969 by three Ghanaian and three Caribbean musicians.
Osibisa played a major role in developing an awareness of African music among European and North American audiences in the 70's. Contrary to popular belief, this legendary band is still in existence still touring and still recording.
