Como president Akosua Puni Essien has expressed her joy after seeing the newly-acquired Italian side posted a 2-0 win over Tuttocuoio at the weekend.
Puni, married to former Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan star Michael Essien, bought the Italian third division club for £206,000 at auction.
The Ghanaian businesswoman was left thrilled after watching the side record a 2-0 win at home to Tuttocuoio.
" I was very happy for the win on Saturday . Since we arrived we have been a bit of tension, but they are very grateful for the results that they got," he told Expansion TV
"We want to do something good here and ask the team to do their best and give 110% on the pitch."
Como were in the top flight in 2002-03, although three back-to-back relegations plunged the club into a difficult financial position and subsequent bankruptcy. They re-entered the Italian football setup in 2005-06 in Serie D.
After relegation from the second tier last season, Como are pushing for promotion in Serie C1 A and sit eighth in the table.
