Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has expressed confidence in Ghana's mental readiness ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Group L clash against England on Tuesday.
The four-time African champions will face the Three Lions in their second group match, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 GMT.
Partey, who missed Ghana's opening 1-0 victory over Panama at BMO Field in Toronto last week, is expected to return to the squad for the highly anticipated encounter.
Speaking ahead of the game, the former Arsenal midfielder emphasised the importance of mental toughness, insisting that players must be prepared to overcome every challenge that comes their way.
"Well, by training, I think everything is mental. You have to be ready for whatever. The minute that your body can go through, you just give your best, and that's it," he said.
The midfielder's anticipated return will provide a significant boost for head coach Carlos Queiroz, who is expected to reinstate one of his most experienced players at the heart of Ghana's midfield.
After the England showdown, Ghana will conclude their Group L campaign against Croatia on June 27 as they continue their quest for a place in the knockout stage.
