The Black Queens will take part in a three-nation international tournament in Tanzania during the FIFA Women’s international window scheduled from June 1 to June 9, 2026, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced.
The competition, to be staged in Dar es Salaam, will bring together Ghana, hosts Tanzania and Malawi as the participating nations intensify preparations for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The tournament is expected to provide the Black Queens with crucial match exposure and help keep the squad active during the international break.
For Ghana, the mini-tournament forms a key part of preparations toward WAFCON 2026, offering the technical team an opportunity to assess player performances, build stronger team cohesion and maintain the side’s competitive rhythm ahead of the continental championship.
The series of matches is also expected to give coaches the chance to test tactical approaches and evaluate the readiness of players as preparations gather momentum.
The Ghana Football Association is expected to announce the Black Queens squad for the tournament in the coming days, with anticipation building over the players who will earn selection for the preparatory assignment in Tanzania.
