Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has attributed their defeat to Dreams FC to a slow start to the game.
The Yellow and Mauve side suffered a 2-1 defeat on Sunday in the Matchday 26 games at the Tuba Astro Turf.
The defeat sees them surrender their lead at the top of the table, with Bibiani GoldStars taking their place.
Speaking after the game, Tanko admitted his side's mistake, which caused their defeat, while also turning attention to the next task ahead.
"We started very slowly, and Dreams FC were the better side in the opening 20 minutes," he said.
"However, we gradually found our rhythm and grew into the game. In the second half, we dominated play and scored a beautiful goal, but unfortunately, time was not on our side, and we ended up losing.
"Now our focus shifts to the next game. We must keep working hard and ensure we secure maximum points. With eight matches remaining, we will prepare thoroughly and approach each one with determination," he added.
- What next?
Medeama will hope to return to winning ways when they host relegation threatened side Eleven Wonders in the Matchday 27 games at the TNA Park.
