Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare insists the club is still firmly in the race for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title.
The Phobians revitalised their title hopes with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over bitter rivals Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s Super Clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.
A first-half header from Baba Adamu proved decisive, narrowing the gap on league leaders Medeama SC.
Asked about the team’s chances of claiming the league crown, Asare said: "Yes, anyone can still win it. If you look at the top four or five teams, it’s all about determination on the field. If we continue to win our matches, we have a great chance.
"Winning the league would be a huge opportunity for us, and I believe most of the players deserve it. This win today will help us be more aggressive and focused in our upcoming matches," Asare added.
After the all-important win, Hearts of Oak now sit 3rd on the league log with 39 points.

Hearts of Oak aim to build on this momentum when they host Berekum Chelsea in Matchday 23 at the University of Ghana Stadium this weekend.
