Ghana forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has earned a nomination for the Championship Player of the Month award for October, following a stunning run of form for Coventry City.
The 25-year-old has been central to Coventry’s attacking surge this season. He opened the month by providing a key assist against Millwall, underlining his ability to influence games beyond just scoring.
Thomas-Asante then struck twice against Sheffield Wednesday, demonstrating clinical finishing and sharp movement to breach tight defensive setups. He maintained his scoring streak with a goal against Blackburn Rovers, keeping Coventry’s frontline consistently dangerous.
His standout performance came against Portsmouth, where he netted another brace, blending speed, precision, and power to secure a commanding victory for the Sky Blues. He rounded off October with a goal against Watford, reinforcing his status as one of the Championship’s most in-form forwards.
The only match in which he failed to find the net was against Wrexham. Overall, Thomas-Asante tallied seven goals and one assist during the month, a prolific contribution that has been key to Coventry’s resurgence in the league.
He is expected to be named in Black Stars squad for the upcoming friendly games against Japan and South Korea.
