The Black Stars of Ghana have been forced to settle for a goalless stalemate against Sudan.
Ghana today hosted Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium in Round 3 in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Black Stars went into the game in dire need of victory to get back on track as far as qualification to the next AFCON is concerned.
The Ghana senior national team last month lost 1-0 to Angola in the first match in Group F and subsequently drew 1-1 with Niger in Round 2.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, Ghanaians expected coach Otto Addo and his charges to record a win to improve their chances of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON.
Unfortunately, not even a dominant performance in terms of possession could do the trick for the Black Stars, forcing the hosts to settle for just a point at the end of the 90 minutes.

The result means Ghana remains third in the Group F standings with just two points from three games.
Next up, the Black Stars will take on Sudan in Round 4 of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
That match will be played on Tuesday, October 15.
