President Akufo Addo will commission the newly renovated Koforidua Sports Stadium later this month.
The edifice which is now known as the Koforidua Youth Resource Center is expected to be commissioned on Wednesday, December 27.


The event will be attended by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and various key government officials.
The Koforidua Youth Resource Center, nearing 96% completion, is one of 10 multipurpose sports centres being developed by the government nationwide which was started under the auspices of Isaac Asiamah as the Sports Minister.
Pius Enam Hadzide, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Youth Authority (NYA), expressed satisfaction with the progress during a media briefing after inspecting the facility.


Additionally, Hadzide disclosed that the NYA is in the process of obtaining approval for the construction of a table tennis arena as part of the ongoing project.
