DAILY GUIDE Wins Best Brand Award

DAILY GUIDE, Ghana’s favourite private newspaper, has been adjudged the best brand in private press at this year’s prestigious 'Top Quality Brand' awards ceremony held at the Aviation Social Center last Wednesday.

The private newspaper was honoured after a strict consumer survey selection carried out by the Premier Brands Ghana, a Ghanaian-owned firm that offers brand-building services.

Nineteen outstanding brands in Ghana also received the awards during the event which was organized on the theme, 'Building Premium Association for Your Brand.'

The companies were selected based on quality, accessibility, overall market acceptability, longevity, goodwill, trust and satisfaction levels.

Fortune Alimi, editor of the newspaper, who received the award, dedicated it to the cherished customers, adding that DAILY GUIDE would continue to provide Ghanaians with accurate information.

He commended the organizers of the event for recognizing the paper.

Eric Affaidu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Premier Brand, told the press that the awards ceremony was to appreciate individuals and companies for their achievements in building Ghana’s brand asset.

He urged institutions to take brand building seriously to promote their interests.

Other winners
Orca Deco and DHL were respectively adjudged the best top quality brands in furniture and home decoration and the most reliable business brand.

Others were Ghana Home Loans, best brand in mortgage finance, Stanbic Bank, the most innovative business brand; Golden Bean Hotel, Kumasi, top quality emerging hotel in Customer Service and Comfort; Star Assurance, the best insurance brand in customer care; Charter House, the best brand in event management & promotion; Best Western Premier Hotel, Accra, top quality hotel brand in customer service and comfort; Castle Bridge and Kaiser Aromatic Schnapps from GIHOC Distilleries, top quality alcoholic brands; Lonart Anti-Malaria, top quality brand for malaria control and cure and Starr FM, top emerging brand in quality radio broadcasting.

The rest were Chocho Industries, top quality local brand; Frytol Cooking Oil, Ghana's most celebrated brand; Shell, the most trusted and respected brand; Tigo, the brand of the year; uniBank Ghana, the best business brand in customer service; Watatank, top quality brand in water storage and Databank Financial Services Ltd, top quality business brand in fund management and corporate finance.

This year's programme was supported by Medlab Ghana Limited, Melcom and Sasso Mosquito Repellent.
