A giant in the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, Asanteman COKA, says he is confident he will become the next Chairman of the party in the Ashanti Region after the pending party polls in August.

The aspiring Regional Chairman said he strongly believes party members will give him the nod to serve them in that capacity.
“I want to assure you that, a year from today, we will meet to celebrate again and I will be the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP with God and the party’s help,” he said.

He made the remarks when the COKA family organized a surprise mini birthday party for him on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
He, however, noted he had no idea the team was hosting such a surprise party for him.

“I just completed church service and my team asked us to come here for a short meeting, not knowing you had planned this for me? You will cause problems for me because if all my loved ones see this on social media, they may think I organized a party without them, but the truth is I know nothing about this organization,” he said.
Asanteman COKA thanked the team for the love they showed to mark his birthday.
One of the organizers, who is also the Elections and Research Officer for the NPP at Ahafo Ano South West Constituency, Salomey Asiedu, said they organized the party without the knowledge of Asanteman COKA mainly to express their gratitude.
She commended the Vice of COKA, adding that she provided financial support for the planning.
The team thanked Asanteman COKA for his selfless support to the NPP and humanity at large.
