As part of his Operation Lighten-Up Every Corner (OLEC) initiative, the Member of Parliament for Kumbungu Constituency, Hon. Alhaj Professor Hamza Adam, has donated 300 streetlight bulbs for distribution across all 24 electoral areas in the constituency.
The bulbs were presented to Assembly Members at a brief ceremony led by the Presiding Member of the Kumbungu District Assembly. The District Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaj Yakubu Imoro Kakpagu, joined the MP to hand over the items.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Hamza Adam reaffirmed his commitment to improving security and public safety across communities through the OLEC initiative. He noted that enhanced street lighting would help reduce road accidents, deter criminal activities and create safer environments for residents.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Assembly Members and the District Assembly, the Presiding Member expressed deep appreciation to the MP for the intervention. He assured him that the bulbs would be installed and maintained effectively to benefit communities across the constituency.
The donation forms part of the MP’s broader efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the wellbeing of residents throughout the Kumbungu Constituency.
