Mr. Ceaser Ofosu Acheampong, the Offinso North District Chief Executive (DCE), in the Ashanti region has urged the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Candidates in the district to write the Examination with confidence and give off their best.
He was addressing the students during a monitoring tour of some of the examination centres in the area. He was accompanied by officials from the Education Directorate, and some staff from the district assembly.
This year, a total of 1,551, Students made of 759 males and 792 females from 47 Schools including 5 private schools with 16 supervisors and 53 invigilators within the district.
Mr Acheampong reminded the students that the examination was for them to give accounts of all that they had been taught throughout their basic education levels and asked them to feel relaxed and answer the questions and pass with distinction.
The DCE expressed confidence that the candidates would perform better this year than the previous years.
He advised them to abide by the rules and regulations governing the exams, while adhering to writing and oral instructions to avoid getting their papers cancelled.
Mr. Martin Addo Fordjour, the Offinso North District Director of Education, also encouraged the candidates not to indulge themselves in any examination malpractices.
He said ‘’the Director -General has asked us to ensure incident-free examination in terms of malpractices, so, that is what we are working to achieve.’’
Mr Addo Fordjour asked them to be focused and write the exams successfully to put Offinso North among the best performing districts.
