A member of the National Communications Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Grace Akosua Amoabeng, has criticised the governing National Democratic Congress, accusing it of failing to deliver on key campaign promises.
She claimed the administration led by President John Dramani Mahama has not met expectations, particularly in areas affecting businesses and young people.
Speaking on Accra-based Joy Prime on Tuesday, May 5, Akosua Amoabeng said Ghanaians are already feeling the impact of what she described as unmet promises.
“This government has scammed us… everything that these people said they were going to do for us… some of the very important things that were dear to Ghanaians, they haven’t even touched it,” she said.
She urged citizens, especially entrepreneurs, to remain hopeful, expressing confidence in the leadership of the NPP’s 2028 flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia.
“Ghanaians know what is going on… the good people of Ghana will not be scammed again… let’s hold on, something better is coming,” she added.
The NPP communicator further referenced recent remarks by Dr Bawumia, where he criticised the impact of erratic power supply on businesses.
She noted that many entrepreneurs continue to struggle with operational costs due to unreliable electricity, stressing the need for policy direction that supports private sector growth.
