The Akatsi South Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that nomination forms and dues for all its 1,206 branch executives across 134 branches will be fully paid by Mr. Bernard Ahiafor, Member of Parliament (MP) and First Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
The intervention, undertaken in collaboration with the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Anthony Kojo Owusu, and the Constituency Executive Committee, is aimed at supporting and strengthening the party's grassroots structures.
This was disclosed on Friday, May 1, during a Constituency Executive Committee meeting chaired by Mr. Owusu.
Mr. Owusu said the gesture was in recognition of the dedication, commitment, and sacrifices of branch executives, whose efforts contributed to the party's electoral success in the constituency.
He noted that the move also reflects the leadership's commitment to consolidating the party's base and promoting unity within the ranks.
According to him, the party's Elections Directorate will, on May 4, announce timelines and guidelines for the registration process to commence at the branch level.
Mr. Owusu further stated that the initiative has been well received by branch executives, who view it as a demonstration of appreciation and responsive leadership.
The Akatsi South Constituency leadership expressed optimism that the intervention will further energise the grassroots and enhance the party's organisational capacity.
