The Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has donated GH¢100,000 toward the construction of an additional three-unit classroom block at Nakong-Kawenia Primary School.
The donation was made through a delegation led by the Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure in the area.
Nakong-Kawenia Primary School currently operates with a three-unit classroom block and an office. The new project will expand the facility into a six-unit classroom block, significantly enhancing teaching and learning conditions for both pupils and teachers.
A seven-member committee, tasked with overseeing the project, received the cheque on behalf of the community. The committee assured stakeholders that the funds would be used strictly for the intended purpose and managed with transparency.
Members of the community expressed deep appreciation to the MP for the timely intervention, describing it as a major boost to education in the area. They also pledged their full support to ensure the successful completion of the project.
