Former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, has said she holds no regrets about her time in prison, describing the experience as spiritually transformative.
Speaking to a church congregation on Sunday, March 22, shortly after her release from Nsawam Prison, she said her period in custody brought her closer to God and deepened her faith.
“I was sent to prison, but today I say in praise of God's name that I will never regret going to prison. I will never regret it because what God has given me through this journey is big and cannot be bought with money.
“God has given me the authority and the power in his word to minister to the people of the world that he is the King of kings and in his absence there is no other God but him, and his Kingdom will rule us forever, and nobody can stop us from worshipping him,” she said.
According to her, the experience marked a turning point in her life, urging the public to recognise and value the works of God.
Nana Agradaa was originally sentenced to 15 years imprisonment on July 3, 2025, after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement. Her lawyers subsequently challenged the ruling, arguing that the sentence was excessive.
Following a review, the Amasaman High Court reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months, describing the initial punishment as harsh.
Her release comes after serving two-thirds of the revised sentence in line with Ghana’s remission regulations.
