The Ghana Education Service has announced that the academic timetable for all senior high schools remains unchanged, reaffirming earlier arrangements for the 2025 academic year.
In a statement, the GES said senior high schools will reopen on January 5, 2025. Form One and Form Two students are expected to report on that date and will remain in school until February 27, 2026, after which they will go on break until May 3, 2026.
According to the timetable, Form One and Form Two students will resume classes from May 4 and continue the academic term until August 21, 2026.
Form Three students will also report to school on January 5, 2025, and will break for the first time on February 27, 2026. Their break period will run from February 28 to March 13, 2026.
They are scheduled to return to school on March 14, 2026, and complete the academic year on June 21, 2026.
The Ghana Education Service urged students, parents and school authorities to take note of the dates and make the necessary preparations to ensure a smooth academic year.
