Government has launched an online application portal for the Students Loan Trust Fund which aims to help students under the No-Fee-Stress policy fund their education after the Level 100 fee waiver.
The launch, led by the Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, will offer students a seamless opportunity to register for financial support from the Students Loan Trust Fund.
“The No-Fee-Stress policy is a transformative, bold, and visionary initiative designed to mitigate the financial barriers that hinder Ghanaian students from accessing tertiary education.
“It is a strategic investment by the government in our nation’s human capital development and future competitiveness, and will catalyze Ghana’s quest for accessible and inclusive higher education,” a statement from the Ministry dated April 29 said in part.
The Ministry reiterated that the Students Loan Trust Fund, in line with its mandate to provide financial resources to students in accredited tertiary institutions, is committed to the successful roll-out and implementation of the policy.
“The No-Fee-Stress Portal offers a streamlined registration process, enabling students to easily provide their information and allowing the SLTF to efficiently authenticate their eligibility for government support under this policy,” the Ministry added.
The portal is now live and accessible at https://www.nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh or https://www.sltf.gov.gh.
To apply for the loan, students are required to provide Ghana Card, email address and an e-zwich card.
For extra support or information, applicants are urged to call 0302751020 or visit any SLTF zonal office.
