Bawumia has proven to be 'perfect, have a distinguished public life — Chief Imam

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, has received high praise for his public life from the Chief Imam of Amansie West, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed.

The influential Muslim cleric described Bawumia as a leader who has led a "perfect" public life, free from scandal, and with immense respect for all people, regardless of their background.

Speaking at a durbar in Manso Adubia to welcome NPP Vice Presidential Candidate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Chief Imam lauded Bawumia for his decency, humility, and respect for people of all social, religious, and educational standings.

He highlighted Bawumia's conduct as a vice president, noting that he never engages in insults or divisive language on political platforms.

"Dr. Bawumia leads a simple life and respects people without considering their religious, educational, financial, or social status, and this is a mark of a good leader," Alhaji Mohammed stated, adding that “Bawumia would make an excellent president.”

He urged voters to support Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming election, believing his leadership would drive the country’s development forward.

Dr. Prempeh, in his remarks, echoed the need for peace, unity, and harmony among all Ghanaians, stressing that these values are essential for national development.

He also recalled his efforts as Education Minister to restore Arabic teaching in schools after the previous administration canceled it.
