NPP's Kwamena Duncan has criticized former President John Dramani Mahama following the National Democratic Congress (NDC) national campaign launch on Saturday, July 27.
The NDC held their campaign launch at Tamale Jubilee Park, urging Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama to become president.
The event was attended by party members, MPs, and celebrities including broadcasters Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) and Shamima Muslim, and a large gathering of NDC supporters.
During a discussion on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, Kwamena Duncan accused Mahama of disrespecting the traditional leaders in the North.
He noted that unlike Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NDC leader did not visit the traditional authorities to inform them about the campaign launch.
"They have not also given any respect to the traditional authorities," Duncan stated.
According to Mr. Duncan, Mahama’s failure to engage with the traditional leaders in the five Northern Regions prior to the campaign launch demonstrates his disregard for them.
"President Mahama, you went to launch your national campaign, I never saw any visit to any of the paramount chiefs in the five Northern Regions that, look, this is what we want to do... because he takes them for granted," Duncan expressed.

Kwamena Duncan, please, this political strategy will not help the NPP. The people are suffering, and want solutions for the collapsed economy, businesses, and investments. Kindly, find solutions to their problems before Bawumia convinces the people that he is qualified to be president.
