Nudity is on the rise in Ghana, this's the time to deter people — says Judge before sentencing Akuapem Poloo

Actress Akuapem Poloo wailed on her knees to plead with the judge after she was slapped with 90 days jail term for posting nude photos of herself and her son online.

But Her Honour had retired to her chamber as soon as she gave the verdict.

The judge stated that despite lawyers representing both fractions have prayed for lesser sentencing, she maintained her initial pronouncement.

She said posting nudity has been on the rise in Ghana and believes this is the time to deter people from doing that. Her Honour said the sentencing considered both intrinsic and aggravating factors.

Rosemond Brown will serve 90 days in jail for all three charges levelled against her by the state. Although both lawyers argued that she is remorseful, the breadwinner of her family has changed how she dresses inside and outside the court, she did not get lesser sentencing.
