Where Are You Going From Here?

Where Are You Going From Here?

I. DAUGHTER OF ZION, Beloved, let us pause in this sixth month and reflect on the silent question: Where are you going from your current stage? Every stage of life ends with the same question: It sometimes seems a silent question, but it resonates with a loud voice at the end of every turn. Graduation, retirement, after a loss, after a breakthrough, after failure, after marriage, after childbirth, after employment, after loss of job, and whatever endeavour you are seeking—life keeps asking us to move forward. But here’s the weight behind the question: James 4:14 says, “You do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” Today we are. Tomorrow we are gone. Do you know where you are going? Do you know what's next?

II. MY BELOVED SISTERS so the question is not just where are you going, but how are you going, and with whom are you going? These are life questions that each of us must answer daily. Irrespective of our status or religious background, we face these same issues together, and in our chamber we either try to ignore it or we face it. Sister, where you are going must be rooted in who owns your life. Today, before you map the road ahead, you must remember who holds the map. You can imagine where the road will lead you if your enemy draws a road map for you. Psalm 139:16 says, “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. You don’t own your next chapter. God does. Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” God can, within the twinkle of an eye, switch the life off, and man is out of reach. Today, we are; tomorrow, we don’t know; it's only the Lord who knows. So the most purposeful step you can take is to place your plans under His Lordship.

III. MY DEAR BROTHER, where you are going requires strength you don’t have, but God gives it. is terrifying if you think you have to do it alone. The future holds unknowns: new responsibilities, new battles, new grief, and new faith demands. Your loved one just embarked on a journey; do you know where he or she is going? Everyone will one day embark on that journey of no returns. Strangely, it's only the Lord who knows when one embarks on that journey; this shows how frail we are as human beings. God’s word to Joshua still stands for you today: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. Courage is not the absence of fear. It’s the presence of God in the middle of fear. Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” So today, as you face a dark world, you don’t need more confidence in yourself, but you need more confidence in the God who goes with you.

IV. SON OF MAN, as we face the day, be encouraged with the words. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Whatever “here” you are standing in, God’s grace is already there ahead of you. Because today we are and tomorrow we are gone, we cannot afford to spend our mist chasing what won’t last. Jesus warned in Matthew 6:19-20: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” Going forward doesn’t mean just going higher in status, income, or recognition. It means going deeper in Christ, wider in love, and bolder in mission. Your job, your family, your ministry, your influence—none of it is wasted if it’s done for Him. Because eternity will reveal what really mattered. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes, where we are going from here is ultimately home. And because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, you can walk toward that home with unshakable hope. Romans 8:18: “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Today you are. Tomorrow you may be gone from this earth. But if you are in Christ, you will never be gone from His presence. And that changes everything about where you are going from here.

PRAYER: As we go through the daily challenges of life. As we encounter people departing to eternity, may the Lord continue to be our strength. As we face life's uncertainties, it's my prayer that the Lord will keep us. And as we daily face this dark world, may the Lord make His face shine on us and be gracious to us through Christ Jesus' name. Amen!
