I. DAUGHTER OF ZION, peace be unto you. In whatever season you find yourself, be assured that your redeemer lives. Job declared during his suffering in Job 19:25-26, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God.” And in II Timothy 1:12, we are encouraged that for this reason, even though we suffer as we do, we must not be ashamed, for we must not forget who we have believed, and we must be convinced that He is able to guard what we have entrusted to Him for that day. Beloved, Jesus Christ entered the mist of human life, died, and rose again to shatter death’s finality. 1 Corinthians 15:54-55 proclaims, 'Death has been swallowed up in victory. ' Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?
II. SON OF MAN, because of the resurrection, your brief life is not wasted. II Corinthians 4:17 says, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” The tears you cry today are seeds for glory tomorrow. The faithfulness you live out in obscurity is being recorded in eternity. The love you give, the holiness you pursue, the hope you carry – it all outlives the mist. Revelation 21:4 affirms and encourages us that the Lord will wipe every tear from our eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things will pass away. You are crying today and maybe have no one to wipe away your tears, but beloved, I assure you that God is right there to wipe them away. Even if you have no shoulder to lean on and weep on, the Holy Spirit, the comforter, will comfort you. Beloved, there is hope for us in Christ Jesus. We must not be like people without hope. We have hope in the Lord.
III. MY DEAR BROTHERS IN THE LORD, let us remember that life is a journey, we must surrender to the One who holds tomorrow. Life is a promise that death does not get the last word. Let us not waste our mist. Don’t fear your fragility. Don’t lose sight of your hope. Today, we are. Tomorrow, we may be gone from this earth, but if we are in Christ, we will never be gone from His presence. Isaiah 40:31 encourages us that 'But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.' They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint. Our hope in the Lord offers us the enabling strength to overcome all adversities. Our hope in the Lord gives us assurance that there is a tomorrow in the Lord. Our hope in the Lord gives the strength to fly so far and work, and yet we will not get tired. Even though tidings against us may be severe, we will never faint. Proverbs 24:10 warns us: “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” May our hope in the Lord strengthen us not to faint in the day of adversity.
IV. MY BELOVED SISTERS IN THE LORD, our hope must be built on nothing else but that Solid Rock. My Songwriters: Robert Critchley, through his song, affirmed that our hope must be built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. We dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ the solid rock we must stand, for all other ground is sinking sand. When darkness veils its lovely face, we must rest on God’s unchanging grace. This hope we have is an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and it enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and served to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor. Yes, Psalm 23:6: “Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Surely our redeemer lives, no matter the tidings, we shall not give up. We will not lose hope.
PRAYER: Lord, teach us to number our days. Help us to live with purpose, walk in surrender, and rest in the hope of eternity. May our brief lives reflect Your eternal glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
