Kumawood actress Vivian Jill Lawrence has responded to the controversy surrounding an alleged feud with NDC Women’s Organiser Meeri over a school feeding program contract.
The dispute began after a WhatsApp voice note went viral, in which Meeri expressed her frustration with the party’s top officials for awarding school feeding contracts to Vivian Jill, a Kumasi-based actress, in the Ahafo Ano South East constituency.
In response, Vivian Jill posted an old video interview on her Instagram story, cautioning her followers against jumping to conclusions about public speculation. She stated, "It's only fools who speak about issues they know nothing about."
The incident has brought to light underlying tensions within the NDC's grassroots, with Meeri voicing disappointment over being sidelined for the contract despite her commitment to the party’s campaign efforts.
