Gospel musician Florence Obinim has opened up about challenges in her marriage to Bishop Daniel Obinim, revealing that she feels exhausted by what she describes as years of submission and control.
Speaking in an interview with GhPage, the gospel singer disclosed that she has always been obedient and submissive to her husband throughout their marriage, doing her best to respect his wishes and follow his directives.
According to Florence, she has sacrificed a lot over the years to maintain peace in their relationship. She explained that she recently told her husband that they have come a long way together and that she has been submissive enough throughout their years as a couple.
She stated that she has reached a point where she believes she cannot do anything more than she has already done to prove her commitment to the marriage. The singer indicated that she is becoming increasingly frustrated with what she perceives as excessive control which comes with nothing.
Florence further revealed that she would not oppose a divorce if Bishop Obinim were to initiate one today. According to her, she feels emotionally drained and can no longer continue under the current circumstances.
"As it stands now, if my husband asks for a divorce today, I am ready because I can't take it anymore," she reportedly stated during the interview.
