Diana Asamoah banned from performing Tetelesta, Akoko abon, other songs after contract termination

Following the contract termination of veteran gospel crooner, Evangelist Diana Asamoah, she has been subjected to some restrictions.

According to the label, Frimprince Music Productions led by Mr. Emmanuel Anane Frimpong, their 22 years signee has broken numerous verbal agreements considered part of their contract.

The celebrated singer is barred from performing any of her songs produced by the record label, including "Akoko abon," "Madansidie," "Pentecost gya," "Momomme," "Wo damu fua," and Tetelesta.

“Frimprince shall continue to have absolute rights over all songs that were produced under the production ie 1. Wo na mani agyina wo. 2. Mabowodin 3. Akoko abon 4. Madansidie 5. Pentecost gya 6. Momomme 7. Wo damu fua 8. Tetelesta 9. Pentecost Soree. Failure to comply with these terms may result in legal action. Please sign below to affirm your agreement to the above terms,” a portion of the letter reads.

In the letter dated August 4, 2022, and issued today, September 14, available to Modernghana News, the management noted, "Frimprince production has been working with you by producing and marketing almost all your songs since the year 2000.

“Following several breaches of verbal agreement to work together, the management of Frimprince production has decided to terminate the contract between Diana Asamoah and Frimprince production.”

The sanctions in this termination also include restrictions on the use of the production’s official logo and denial of access to social media pages, particularly the Facebook page "The Evangelist Diana Asamoah."

The letter stressed, “we dissociate ourselves from the ABBA FATHER event which was our creative idea to build your brand We wish to also dissociate ourselves from the MABOWODIN company and all its accounts.”
