Ghana attacker David Accam is set to sign for America Major League Soccer giants Chicago Fire in the coming days, according to reports in Sweden.
The 24-year-old who notched 17 Allsvenskan goals for Helsingborg IF, last season has been on the cards of many European and American clubs.
But has agreed to make a switch to the American top-flight league, according to reports carried by the American press.
However, the former Right to Dream Academy graduate is in Ghana but could fly out to the United States to seal the deal if a deal with reached between Helsingborg and Fire.
German Bundesliga sides Freiburg and Koln as well as Mexican club Tigres UANL were all mentioned in separate reports to be interested in signing Accam.
Accam had netted 43 goals in over 70 games for Helsinborg in all competitions since joining them club.
The player confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com he will leave Helsingborg when the winter transfer opens.
